In a number of countries, you can pay for your booking at Kenya-airways.com using a debit card. Participating card services in Great Britain are Maestro 3D Secure, Solo, Visa Debit 3D Secure and Visa Electron (3D Secure). You can also pay using a Visa Electron (3D Secure) card in various other countries. No fees apply to payments made with a debit card. Since each bank may decide whether it accepts payments made with a Visa Electron (3D Secure) Card, this method of payment is not universally accepted. We have no influence on this decision. For questions on the online use of your Visa Electron (3D Secure) card, we recommend contacting your bank. Once your payment by debit card has been authorized, you will be sent your e-ticket by e-mail.
‘3D Secure’ is also known as ‘MasterCard SecureCode’ (for MasterCard) and ‘Verified by Visa’ for Visa. For JCB (Japan Credit Bureau), it is known as ‘JSecure’.

Amount Reserved on your Debit Card
When using a debit card for a booking on Kenya-airways.com, you may see within a few days that your bank account is charged with the amount needed for your purchase. In fact, your bank only reserves this amount until Kenya Airways finalizes your payment, after which your account will actually be charged. This may take up to 30 days. During this time, the amount reserved may be blocked: it cannot be used for other purchases.
This procedure is outside of the control of Kenya Airways. If you wish, you can contact your bank to request the release of the reserved amount.
