Abu Dhabi is the capital of the United Arab Emirates. It is also one of the wealthiest cities in the world with an eclectic mix of both traditional and modern cultural attributes. It is situated on the Persian Gulf with a predominant desert climate. There is archeological evidence showing early human habitation dating back to the 3rd millennium BCE in Abu Dhabi.

Abu Dhabi has a huge array of events for both locals and tourists to attend. Some of the best known are:
- Carnival in Bouake
This annual weeklong festival happens in May and attracts some of the best jazz musicians in the world and a large audience of jazz lovers.
- Abu Dhabi Formula One
Started in 2009, this event is now a fixed annual event in the Formula One calendar. The nearly six-kilometer circuit is one of the most technologically advanced racing tracks in the world.
- Abu Dhabi Film Festival
The festival started in 2007 and hosts hundreds of films from over 50 countries. The “Black Pearl” award is regarded as one of the most prestigious in the film industry.
- Abu Dhabi International Book Fair
Abu Dhabi plays host to fastest growing book fair in all of the Middle East, and publishers from Countries all over the World come to fill up the 800 plus exhibition stands.

Places to Visit
Abu Dhabi has some stunning islands. Find some time to visit Yas, Al Reem and Saadiyat Island and last but not least the man-made island of Al Lulu Island.
Museums and cultural landmarks to make sure to visit are the Abu Dhabi Cultural Foundation, Zayad National Museum, Emirates National Auto Museum and lastly the Al Ain National Museum.
The Sheikh Zayed Mosque is considered to be the key point of worship in the country so makes sure to see this magnificent place of worship. Two more stunning architectural structures to make sure to visit are the Al Bahr Towers and ‘The Landmark’ which are two super-tall towers in Abu Dhabi with superb architectural significance.
Marina Mall in Abu Dhabi is a vast shopping center with superb entertainment and has well over 122 000 square meters of retail space with numerous entertainment facilities such as a 100-meter observatory, ice rink, bowling alley, multiplex movie complex and musical fountains throughout the mall.
