Passengers travelling to Zanzibar and Pemba should note that Kenya Airways will no longer collect the domestic and international Airport Service Charge and International Aviation Safety Fee. These charges will be collected directly at the airport by the Zanzibar Airport Authority. All other conditions remain unchanged.

Possession of ivory is considered illegal in Kenya unless holding legal documentation allowing transit and shipment



International Check-in 

For all international flights, passengers are required to check in at least three and a half hours before departure of flight (irrespective of Class of travel). Counters close one hour prior to departure.


Domestic Check-in 

For all domestic flights, passengers are required to produce some acceptable form of identification at check-in. Passengers are required to check in at least one and a half hours (irrespective of Class of travel). Counters close 30 minutes to departure.
