Kenya Airways rolls out SkyPriority Service in Partnership with SkyTeam

SkyPriority will reduce check in and transfer time, assuring customers of convenience

May 30, 2012….Loyal customers of Kenya Airways can now enjoy more convenience when travelling following the launch of the SkyPriority service across the airline’s network. SkyPriority is a series of distinctively branded priority airport services offered to Elite Plus, First and Business Class customers

The new service launched this morning offers eligible customers valuable benefits such as priority access to facilities and services such as check in, boarding and baggage handling as well as immigration control at various airports.

Speaking during the launch of the service, Kenya Airways Chief Operating Officer Mbuvi Ngunze said the service was yet another service enhancement initiative by the airline and its partners in the SkyTeam Alliance.

“SkyPriority is about delivering quality experience to our high value customers. The essence of this initiative by SkyTeam is to create a differentiating experience from other alliances by enhancing convenience,” said Ngunze.

Customers not only enjoy convenience but also reduced time during - pre, transfer, and post flight-. The service will be implemented in two phases starting this month with the airline’s hub in Nairobi and Kenya Airways regional destinations namely, Mombasa, Malindi, Dar es Salaam, Entebbe and Kisumu.

The second phase will kick off in July to end in November and will cover the rest of the airline’s global destinations including the rest of Africa, the Middle East, Asia and the Far East, and Europe. Kenya Airways currently flies to 57 destinations the latest being New Delhi which was launched earlier this month.

Kenya Airways is a member of the SkyTeam Alliance, a global partnership of sixteen airlines.

Ngunze added that Sky Priority was designed with the time-conscious globe-trotter in mind. “This service offers an exciting experience for the discerning traveler with a keen sense of quality service,” he concludes.
