Kenya Airways appoints sales agent as it explores direct flights to Tokyo

Kenya Airways has appointed a new agent for the Japanese market as it explores a direct air link between Kenya and Japan.

Sunworld Air Services Corp will be the Ground Sales Agent for the national carrier in the Far East nation starting 1st February. The ultimate goal is to establish direct air link between Tokyo and Nairobi.

Kenya’s ambassador to Japan Benson Ogutu hailed the move saying it would strengthen bilateral ties between the two countries. “We welcome the decision by Kenya Airways to open a sales office in Tokyo as this will boost trade relations between Kenya and Japan,” said Ambassador Ogutu.

He spoke when he visited the Sunworld offices in Shibuya, one of the twenty three wards in the Japanese capital. During the visit, he held discussions with senior management and also acquainted himself with Sunworld’s marketing strategies and operations.
