Burundi is
situated in Central Africa bordered by Rwanda to the North, Tanzania to the South and the Democratic Republic of Congo to the West.By itself, it’s a small country in the great lakes
regions in Africa. Though it’s landlocked, much of the western border is
adjacent to the Lake Tanganyika.
It has its capital city as Bujumbura.The city lies at the North Eastern corner of Lake
Tanganyika and is Burundi’s largest administrative, communications and economic
centre. It is still the country’s main port and ships most of the country’s
export goods which include; coffee (main), cotton skins and tin ore. Burundi,
experiences an equatorial type of climate and it lies on a rolling plateau. The Country’s modern name is derived from Bantu
