Kenya Airways to commence flights to 55th destination

Kenyan Nationals to obtain Entry Visas for travel.

Nairobi 28 June, 2011 … National carrier Kenya Airways has officially announced plans to commence flights to their 55th destination, Ougadougou in Burkina Faso, starting from 15th July, 2011.

The airline will operate twice weekly flights to the West African destination on Fridays and Mondays.

Kenyan nationals wishing to travel to Burkina Faso are advised that a valid visa as well as a yellow fever vaccination certificate is required for entry into the country.

In the absence of a Burkina Faso consular representative in Kenya, the airline has made arrangements with the French Embassy in Nairobi to process visas for Kenyan nationals wishing to travel to Burkina Faso.

Persons requiring a visa will need to directly contact the Consular Section of the French Embassy in Nairobi which is located at Barclays Plaza, 9th Floor.

Ougadougou marks the airline’s 55th global destination and its 45th on the continent. Kenya Airways has taken up the mandate to fly out of every African destination by 2013 and is well on course to achieving this mandate.
