Kenya Airways flights to Rome are still on

Kenya Airways informs its passengers, travel trade and members of the public that it continues to operate 3 weekly flights to Rome (FCO) contrary to the story published in some parts of the media.

The story creates the impression that flights have been suspended indefinitely which has sent the wrong signals to our customers and the market.

I wish to clarify that the flights to Rome were only temporarily halted in March due to low demand. The flights have since resumed. Such temporary measures are normal are mainly made for operational reasons and for purposes of optimizing fleet efficiency.

Kenya Airways has also reviewed its schedule to Rome (FCO) in order to offer passengers more connections into Africa. The flights operating 3 times a week on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday will operate in the new timings as shown below.

KQ 122 Departs Nairobi at 1225hrs – Arriving Rome at 1855hrs

KQ 123 Departs Rome at 2055hrs - Arriving Nairobi at 0510hrs (all times local)

Kenya Airways reiterates that Rome is crucial to the country’s tourism industry. We wish to reassure our customers that Kenya Airways views Rome as a key destination in our quest to be the airline that connects Africa to the rest of the world.
